Cubs continue play in the rain
The Cubs are currently trailing 2-0 against the Houston Astros. The Cubs started this game at 6:00 Central Time for their annual 70’s night. The Cubs trailed 2-0 going into the top of the sixth inning. Mother Nature took over as a huge storm swept the Chicago land area causing the players to leave the field and the fans to evacuate to the concourse. It was not a pretty sight as rain poured down for a good half hour and lightning was striking all over the place. There were even several tornado warnings and sirens blaring all over the city.
And yet, the Cubs continue to play as they are underway in the top of the seventh. This has to be one of those games that the Cubs just have to win. Mostly because they were trailing when the game could have easily been called a loss for them. Also, tomorrow is a 1:20 PM start, and seeing as this game is only in the seventh, this game may very well not be over until about 11:30 tonight.
Go Cubs!
