Hendry signs new deal

Jim Hendry finally got offered that extension.

The Cubs signed general manager, Jim Hendry, for four more years.  I think this is a great move as Hendry seems to be very passionate about his job and has been known to make a few good trades.  Hendry has been with the Cubs since 2002.  Since 2002, the Cubs have won a division title three times.  I definitely think there is something to be said for the Cubs’ recent success and Jim Hendry being at the forefront of that success.

With the combination of Lou Piniella and Jim Hendry, I feel that it is only a matter of time that the Cubs will go to the Promised Land.  Now, seeing as Piniella is only signed through 2010, we don’t have much of a window to play with… so win now, Cubs, please!

Go Cubs!
