Marquis, Bradley, and more oh my
Apparently, the Chicago Cubs are now interested in Milton Bradley. Milton Bradley who has a big temper and likes causing problems wherever he goes. See exhibit 1 , exhibit 2 and exhibit 3 . Enough said— this is a bad idea. The Cubs do not need a guy like this on their team.
In order to get a player like Bradley or any other left handed bat, the Chicago Cubs would need to unload someone’s salary. By the looks of it, that salary come from Jason Marquis. Marquis will be paid $9.875 million next season, which is quite a substantial amount for the club’s #5 starter. It seems as though the New York Mets are interested in picking up Jason Marquis.
My plead to the Cubs— please don’t go after Milton Bradley. Why not develop our own talent and see what Micah Hoffpauir can do? Bradley is a joke and I would not like having him on our team.
